Leon B. Postigo, formerly known as Bacungan, is a coastal municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.
The municipality has a land area of 255.50 square kilometers or 98.65 square miles which constitutes 3.50% of Zamboanga del Norte’s total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 27,639. This represented 2.64% of the total population of Zamboanga del Norte province, or 0.71% of the overall population of the Zamboanga Peninsula region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 108 inhabitants per square kilometer or 280 inhabitants per square mile.
