Cavite Province, rich in culture and history, is the birthplace of numerous Filipino heroes, including Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, the country’s first president. Many of the revolution’s crucial choices were made in Cavite, among the hardships of the Philippine Revolution. The Manila-Cavite coastal route makes it much easier to get around Cavite’s different cities and municipalities. Public transit is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rosario, Cavite’s “largest” tiny town, is 30 kilometers from Manila and can be reached by bus. It stretches from the north to the northwest of the province, along Luzon’s western coast, flanked on the north by Manila Bay and on the southeast by General Trias.
